Health & Safety Policy

We prioritise the health, safety, and wellbeing of all children, staff, and visitors. We provide a safe, secure environment where children can learn and play with confidence.

Our practice follows the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

How We Keep Children Safe

  • Carry out regular risk assessments of all areas
  • Ensure constant supervision of children
  • Maintain secure premises and controlled access
  • Provide trained paediatric first aiders at all times
  • Record and report all accidents and incidents

Hygiene and Health

  • Promote regular handwashing and good hygiene
  • Clean and maintain all equipment and toys
  • Follow guidance on illness and infection control
  • Administer medication only with parental consent

Fire and Emergency Safety

  • Conduct regular fire drills
  • Maintain clear evacuation procedures
  • Ensure all safety equipment is regularly checked
